GE's consumer demand ranges from good ol’ GE lightbulbs to
refrigerators, ranges, clothes washers and dryers, microwave ovens,
dishwashers, coffee makers, room air conditioners, and hundreds of other
products bearing the familiar script GE logo. An average consumer buying a
refrigerator might do a little online research and then pop out to the local
Best Buy to compare models before buying one. In contrast, buying a batch of
jet engines involves a tortuously long buying process, dozens or even hundreds
of decision makers from all levels of the buying organization, and layer upon
layer of subtle and not-so-subtle buying influences. In its business markets,
rather than selling to large numbers of small buyers, GE sells to a few very
large buyers. Whereas it might be disappointing when a refrigerator buyer
chooses a competing brand, losing a single sale to a large business customer
can mean the loss of hundreds of millions of dollars in business. In the buying
decision, locomotive performance plays an important role. In such big-ticket
purchases, buyers carefully scrutinize factors such as cost, fuel efficiency,
and reliability.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good
Of course making money is everyone's goal in business, but
finding a passion for what you do matters just the same, if not more. If you
don't have a passion for what you do, you will get sick of doing it all
together. I for one find great passion in what I do as a photographer. Not only
do I make decent money as a photographer, but I get to create beautiful images
that drive me to do better every time I pick up my camera. The more and more
paying jobs that I get I like to give back a little by doing free shoots for
people who are trying to get started in the industry and in return, they turn
around and refer me to people for future jobs. It's a win win situation for
everyone involved..

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games
In my opinion, the coming year may well be a landmark one in the realm of video games,
with changes large and small speaking to the wider acceptance of
different interactive entertainment forms.
If I had to rate all of the major consoles using the Boston Consulting Group ratings I'd have to say that the "Star" is mobile gaming. I mean just about everyone these days has a smart phone and are always on the go. Plus most of the mobile games are free, like Angry Birds and Candy Crush just to name a couple. The "Cash Cow" will have to go to the Sony Playstation, because of it's pricing, game listing and the ability to play older games. The "Question Mark" in my opinion will have to go to the Microsoft Xbox. There are too many unknowns at this point with this system, between the cost being $100 more than the Playstation, not being able to play older games and having to log in every 24 hours to keep an account active. The "Dog" will have to go to the Nintendo Wii for lack of high end games and online usage..

EOC Week 1: My Voice
Hello, I'm Michael Ferraro and I'm a Las Vegas based freelance
photographer. I specialize in landscape, sporting events, expos/conventions,
fashion, portrait and glamour photography. I shoot only in digital format. I
have been a professional photographer for just over 2 years now. Photography
was mainly a hobby for me for 10 years before making it my profession and an
excuse to travel and photograph landscapes and big events. I started to get
serious about it after doing some head shots for actor friends and was told I
had a real talent. Although landscape photography is still my favorite style of
photography, I've grown to love fashion/glamour and glamour portraiture and I do
that mostly on location. The Nevada desert and surrounding areas provide some
amazing backdrops for glamour photography and I never pass up the opportunity
to shoot on location.
Photography
is one of my many passions in life. I love seeing the beauty in everything! I
love life and working with people.
I due travel
to other cities for photo shoots so look for my announcements and upcoming
travel dates on my website, my Facebook page and
on my Model Mayhem page.
I am
published in multiple local magazines and several other magazines and websites
based off of the coverage that I have provided for events, expos and
conventions.
I
ALWAYS meet with everyone that will be involved with or at a shoot, so if you
are not at the meet and greet, you will not be at the shoot, no exceptions. A
meet and greet will give us the time to go over everything involved with the
shoot (wardrobe, locations, release forms, fees, etc.), it also helps with
getting to know each other as professionals. A live phone conversation (NO
TEXTS) is fine if you are from out of town.
With
all that being said, if you like my work and you feel like we would create some
beautiful images together, please feel free to contact me and we'll set
something up..
